How do I ask my boss for a raise?

I have been at my work for a year! I worked as a teller for awhile at about 9.10$. Then I went to the titles dep. and they gave me 9.68$. They transfered me to auiditing withou my consent and they never gave me a raise! Starting auditors make 12.50$. You always get a raise when you move up but I didnt!
