Why do Britons have such an ugly accent?

Does it make you wonder what they might think of your accent? It's your racket about the accent and not the accent itself. Personally, anything that sounds different than my own accent is refreshing to hear. Language has always been a wonder. Our linguistic development is molded by those who we are surrounded by, or are influenced by. So every time I hear people speak...whether it be just phrases or even the accent, I think about the home and community they grew up in. Never do I judge or insult others who sound different than myself.
