Improper Shutdown Question (10 Points)?

hey, what happens after my pc is shut down improperly for many times? i was just wondering because i've ordered a new battery for my laptop and in the meantime im using my power outlet adapter / charger as the main source of power, but many a time when i've been moving around on my bed or on my desk with my computer, the cord wriggles and shuts off the PC... will this ruin my computer? or should i just use another system until my battery comes?.... i just love my laptop thats all.... ****10 Points****
