Car is randomly spraying off freon shortly after turning A/C on...?

The car is a 2001 Ford Mustang V6 and it has been very well maintained, but is just out of warranty with 85,000 miles. Three seperate times now, shortly after starting the car up and then switching the A/C on it will spray off a high pressure cloud of what appears to be R-32...out of the hood on the penger side near the windshield(imagine a drag car purging nitrous). I pulled over the first time after seeing it and looked under the hood. ln the engine bay there was just a little squirt of green (presumably radiator) fluid up near where the initial cloud came from. I know it was recent because I literally watched it drip down. Like I said, this has only happened three times and there is nothing noticeably wrong with the A/C or radiator....any ideas? Thanks in advance.
