My gardenia plant looks as though its dying?

I planted my gardenia plants two years ago. the first year I got flowers off them. This year both gardenia plants are getting wilted and looks like their dying. I have tried to nurture them the best way I know how. Can anyone please give me an idea as to how I can not loose them as it is getting cold outside? Thanks ElRod
