I have had my cooker disconnected by the council because of excess carbon monoxide but they tested it by stopping the air supply & turning everything full on for 20 minutes. Am i right in thinking this isn't a good test because a cooker needs air to burn properly and if it doesn't burn properly it will produce more carbon monoxide? Im all for safety but the council are using this to avoid the problem of fumes from my neighbours boiler causing me breathing problems.
